What is Build the Village?

The mission of the Village has always been to help edify the community in all facets needed to heal.

Build the Village is a new initiative that will continue on our goal of being a resource by establishing a Workforce Development Hub in Wake Forest creating pathways to employment, economic mobility, and entrepreneurship.

Vision:  to prepare underemployed adults, veterans, and formerly incarcerated individuals for sustainable careers through short-term, industry recognized training, career coaching, and employer partnerships that lead to high demand, family sustaining employment.

Career tracks include:

• Skilled Trades (HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, CDL, etc.)

• Technology (Google Cybersecurity, Google IT, Drone Pilot)

• Entrepreneurship (Incubator for business planning, marketing, etc.)

• Wake Tech Community College

• Capital Area Workforce Development Board & NC Works Career Center

• Wake County Health and Human Services Northern Regional Center

• Disabled American Veterans & The Joel Fund

• Family Resource Center of the South Atlantic

• DuBois Alumni Association
